Speaker Profile

Dominique Cerutti is general manager of IBM Southwest Europe. In this role he leads all of IBM’s business operations – with responsibility for revenue, profit and client satisfaction – in Southern and Western Europe, as well as much of Africa.

Mr. Cerutti was named to this position in 2005 after serving as general manager of IBM Global Services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa beginning in 2003. In that role he was responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of all IBM’s services businesses in the region, and for over 60,000 professionals who helped make IBM the services market leader in Europe.

In 2000, Mr. Cerutti was named general manager of IBM Global Services, West region (France, Belgium and Luxembourg). He was previously vice president in charge of Operations for the Personal Systems Group Division in Europe. From December 1998 to October 1999 he was executive assistant at IBM’s New York headquarters to former IBM chairman and CEO Louis V. Gerstner.

Since 1986, when he started at IBM France, Mr. Cerutti has been successively a sales engineer, sales director, and in 1996 the director of the Personal Systems Group, West region. Before joining IBM, Mr. Cerutti spent two years with Bouygues, a French civil engineering company, in Saudi Arabia.

He is a member of IBM Chairman and CEO Sam Palmisano’s Senior Leadership Team and a regular speaker on such topics as innovation, diversity and sales leadership.
